Cloudera launches zero copy data connector for ServiceNow AI workflows

Hybrid data platform provider Cloudera has released a new integration for ServiceNow, an enterprise software company that processes more than 80 billion workflows each year. Unveiled at the Knowledge26 conference, the Workflow Data Fabric Zero Copy Connector allows organizations to execute autonomous artificial intelligence tasks without duplicating information across systems.

Corporate artificial intelligence initiatives face deployment barriers related to fragmented information systems. According to Cloudera, almost eight in 10 organizations report that incomplete data access hinders their deployment programs. The new connector addresses this obstacle by querying records at their source within hybrid data lakehouses. This architecture bypasses traditional data pipelines to reduce storage costs and limit the exposure of personally identifiable information, protected health information and payment card industry data.

The integration builds upon a partnership established in 2025 when ServiceNow joined Cloudera’s artificial intelligence ecosystem. By eliminating data transfers, the zero-copy framework helps enterprises comply with privacy mandates such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, the Digital Operational Resilience Act and the European Union AI Act. The connector traces every automated action back to its source data, establishing an audit trail for production environments.

“Enterprises cannot scale autonomous AI without being able to prove why decisions are made,” said Leo Brunnick, Chief Product Officer at Cloudera. “Without this traceability, organizations cannot safely deploy AI agents or meet regulatory demands. This is especially critical for Chief Information Security Officers, Chief Data Officers, and Chief AI Officers, who carry the risk, security, and compliance burden as AI moves from pilot to production-scale operations.”

The capability feeds curated enterprise data straight into the orchestration platform to support automated business processes.

“Cloudera plays a critical role in breaking down data silos by bringing enterprise data into a single, governed platform where it’s already curated, processed, and trusted,” said Pramod Mahadevan, VP, Data & Analytics Product Ecosystem at ServiceNow. “By leveraging those high-quality insights, we’re able to drive intelligent automation and workflows, enabling closed-loop remediation that helps organizations quickly identify, address, and resolve issues with greater efficiency and confidence on the ServiceNow AI Platform.”
