Acumatica, an ERP software provider with more than 10,000 customers, is expanding financial workflows inside its platform through a new payment automation integration with AvidXchange, a company that develops accounts payable automation software and payment services for mid market businesses and suppliers.
The rollout introduces embedded accounts payable payments directly into the Acumatica platform through AvidXchange’s Accounts Payable as a Service offering, allowing finance teams to initiate and manage supplier payments from within the ERP environment rather than moving between separate systems.
The launch follows AvidXchange’s selection as Acumatica’s payment automation partner for mid market customers and reflects a broader push among ERP vendors to keep payment workflows inside business applications rather than relying on external systems.
Accounts Payable as a Service is designed as a managed payment infrastructure layer that software vendors and accounting platforms can integrate into existing products. Through the deployment, Acumatica customers can access payment execution capabilities, payment status visibility and cash flow management tools without leaving the platform.
“Embedded payments make it easier for finance teams to move quickly and stay in control, without adding complexity,” said Michael Praeger, CEO and Co-Founder of AvidXchange. “With this launch, Acumatica customers can manage payments more efficiently within their existing workflows while benefiting from AvidXchange’s supplier network and dedicated support.”
According to AvidXchange, customers can onboard digitally and begin sending payments within minutes. The company also said it manages supplier enrollment, supplier payment preferences and ongoing support functions through its supplier network of more than 1.5 million suppliers, shifting parts of supplier management away from customer finance teams.
“Through our partnership with AvidXchange, we’re continuing to evolve the Acumatica platform to better support our customers’ financial workflows,” said John Case, CEO of Acumatica. “With embedded payment automation, customers can simplify payments, improve visibility, and operate more efficiently with a solution designed to work seamlessly within Acumatica.”
