Remote, the global payroll and employment infrastructure platform, is widening access to the technology behind its payroll and employment platform after reporting more than $300 million in annual recurring revenue, more than 300% year over year growth in its payroll business, and cash flow positivity.
The company, which provides payroll, employment and workforce management infrastructure for companies hiring across multiple countries, said it is opening more of its platform to software partners, developers, customers and AI based tools as demand for cross border workforce management continues to grow.
The move reflects how vendors serving global hiring operations are positioning payroll and employment systems less as standalone applications and more as infrastructure layers that connect HR software, compliance workflows and workforce data across multiple systems.
Remote said tens of thousands of companies use its Global Payroll, Employer of Record and Contractor Management products, including Anthropic, KFC and Datadog. The company also said HR software providers such as Workday, BambooHR and Personio use Remote technology to support their own global employment offerings. According to Remote, its platform operates through more than 100 owned legal entities worldwide, regulated payments institutions in key markets and processes billions in payroll annually.
”We deeply value our partnership with Remote so our customers do not need to choose between an HR experience they love and the ability to hire and pay people anywhere," said Brian Crofts, Chief Product Officer at BambooHR. "Remote's global employment infrastructure is what makes that possible inside BambooHR, and opening it up to the broader ecosystem is a significant step forward for how businesses manage global teams."
As part of the expansion, Remote introduced Remote MCP, which the company said allows AI agents to connect directly to payroll, contract, compliance and organizational data without API keys, exports or custom integrations. It also launched Remote Build, a service intended to support companies with architecture design and implementation work tied to the platform.
Remote said customers can access its services through existing HR platforms, APIs or direct access to its own software environment.
"At our core, we have always been in the business of trust: making sure people get paid correctly, compliantly, and with dignity, wherever they are in the world," said Job van der Voort, co-founder and CEO of Remote. "That trust comes with getting the hard things right, consistently, at scale. That is exactly what we have spent years doing: building the infrastructure, the compliance depth, and the owned entities that make it possible to get this right, in every country, every time. Opening that up to the world is the next step, and we are just getting started."
